According to reports, Coronado Police responded at approximately 11:34 p.m. Wednesday to the 7500 block of Silver Strand Boulevard, also known as State Route 75, following reports of a collision involving two motorcycles. Both riders were transported to a local hospital. A 25-year-old man was later pronounced dead, while the other motorcyclist reportedly suffered serious injuries.

Authorities have not yet announced what caused the collision. Detectives with the Coronado Police Department’s Investigations Unit and Traffic Unit are investigating the circumstances and whether alcohol or drugs may have been contributing factors.
